Dr. David H. Dixon

Dr. David Howard Dixon, 74, passed away November 19, 2022.

A native of Amsterdam, New York, son of the late Douglas Wilsey and Eileen Glenn Dixon, he was an optometrist/owner of Greer Vision Center on Wade Hampton Blvd., Greer. He was a passionate eye care provider for the Greer Community for 48 years. He also loved golf, travel, and all sports.

Surviving are his former wife and close friend, Tammy S. Dixon of Greer; a daughter, Dr. Jessica D. Heinke of Huntley, Illinois; two sons, Zachary David Dixon and Alexander Douglas Dixon, both of Greer; two stepdaughters, Kimberly Brooke Massengale and Lauren Leigh Lee, both of Greer; a sister, Susan Fitzpatrick of Agoura Hills, California; and two grandchildren, Garrett Robert Heinke and Rachel Mary Heinke.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at The Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Keith Kelly and Dr. Jessica D. Heinke.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Tuesday at The Wood Mortuary.
