Evelyn Sybil Durham Gregory

Evelyn Sybil Durham Gregory, 83, widow of James Lee “Willie” Gregory, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 15, 2023.

Mrs. Gregory was born in Greenville County to the late William Arthur Durham and Emma Lillian Hinton Durham.

With her husband Willie, she co-founded Gregory Trailer Service and worked as the company’s bookkeeper. She enjoyed talking with people and watching baseball. She loved angel figurines and collected garden gnomes. One of her favorite things to do was to take care of her pets and feed any animal that came around.

Surviving are a son, Lamar Gregory with wife Christie; a sister, Joyce Beeks; and a grandson, Dustin Gregory with wife Alissa.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Curt Durham and Gene Durham; and a sister, Lois Campbell.

The family will receive friends between 4:30-6:30 p.m. Friday, January 27, in the fellowship hall of Woods Chapel United Methodist Church (2388 Brown Wood Road in Greer).
