Gary Vaughn

Robert Gary Vaughn, 83, passed away May 29, 2021.

A native of Greer, son of the late Grady and Corrine Durham Vaughn, he was a Greer High School Graduate Class of 1956, a United States Marine Corps Veteran, retired from J.P. Stevens, a deacon, and Sunday School record clerk for Fairview Baptist Church, on the board of directors at Greer Country Club, a driver for Greer Christian Learning Center and an avid Greer High School Yellow Jacket supporter.

Surviving are his wife, Patsy Belcher Vaughn of the home, and one brother, Rev. Billy E. Vaughn of Rutherfordton, NC.

Mr. Vaughn was predeceased by one daughter, Kelly Vaughn, and one sister, Vicky Vaughn Burrell.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Fairview Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Eddie Leopard. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

A visitation will be held after the service at the graveside.

The family will be at the home.

Honorary pallbearers will be Greer Athletic Coaches and Phil Crain.
