Harrold Wilson Rhoads

Harrold Wilson Rhoads, 74, passed on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at National Healthcare in Sumter, SC, peacefully with his family by his side.

Harrold was born September 9, 1947 in Alliance, Ohio and is preceded in death by his father Shyrll Rhoads, and mother Betty Lee (Harrold) Rhoads.

Harrold is survived by his daughters, Stephanie (Shawn) Hagerty of Sumter, SC, Stacey (Christopher) Bishman of Simpsonville, SC, and Erin (Michael) Rowe of Simpsonville, SC. Surviving grandchildren, Gillian Hagerty, Hannah Bishman, and Kieran Hagerty.
Harrold was the youngest of his surviving siblings, his sister Kayann (Edwin) Stockli of Deerfield, OH, and brother Howard (Connie) Rhoads of Sebring, OH. Harrold also has several beloved nieces and nephews.

Harrold was a graduate of West Branch High School in Beloit, Ohio and also received Associate degrees from both Youngstown College of Business and Drafting and Youngstown State University. Harrold, a 13-year veteran of the U. S. Army National Guard was dedicated to supporting MIA/POW and Veterans’ programs. Harrold retired from the City of Greer where he was Senior Crew Supervisor of public works.

Harrold’s memory and sense of humor and will be cherished by all those who knew him. His hobbies included riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, a fixer of all things, spending much time outdoors and attending every sporting event with his family, all of whom meant the world to him.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested Memorials be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital (burn center) One Children’s Plaza- 2 West, Dayton, Ohio 45404
