Jacob P. Clouse, Jr.

Jacob P. Clouse, Jr. (Jake), 77, passed away June 24, 2022.

A native of Henderson County, son of the late Jacob P. and Jane Justice Clouse, he was a retired employee of The Greenville News and a member of Apalache Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Nancy Helton Clouse, of the home; two daughters, S. Rachelle Cox (Billy) of Greer and Sonya J. Bradshaw (Richie) of Taylors; two stepsons, Chris Helton of Chesnee, and Patrick Helton of Greer; six grandchildren, Chase Bradshaw (Maddie), Chandler Bradshaw, Christopher Helton (Sierra), Bethany Helton, Hunter Helton, and Adam Helton; and five great-grandchildren.


Mr. Clouse was predeceased by his brother, Roy Clouse, of Hendersonville.

The Celebration of Life will be held on June 29, 2022, at Apalache Baptist Church in Greer. The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 p.m. followed by the funeral at 2 p.m.

Brian Childers, Jerry Bryant, and James Carpenter will be officiating.

The family is at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Apalache Baptist Church, Greer.
