Janie Plumley, 88, went to be with the Lord and Savior, Saturday morning, September 17, 2022, at the home of Inez and Ted Morgan.
Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Johnie and Ola Pruitt Plumley. She worked as a weaver in a textile mill and was a member of Mountain Hill Community Church.
She is survived by two sisters, Inez Morgan (Ted) and Louise Morgan (Jimmy); her two great-great nephews that she raised partly in her home, Dillon and Aiden Davis; a niece; two nephews; two great nephews; two great nieces; nine great-great nephews; and two great-great nieces.
She is predeceased by four sisters, Etta Blackwell, Edna Hart, Allie Plumley, and Eula Hart; and one brother, Clarence Plumley.
Visitation will be held on Monday afternoon, September 19, 2022, from 1-2 p.m. at Mountain Hill Community Church.
Funeral service will be held on Monday afternoon, September 19, at 2 p.m. in the Mountain Hill Community Church in the Cliffs of Glassy Community with Reverend Lee Norris to officiate the service. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
