Kay Fowler DeYoung

Kay Fowler DeYoung, 72, formerly of Taylors, SC, widow of Ben Steven “Steve” DeYoung, died September 13, 2023, at Vitality Living in Milton, GA.

She is the daughter of the late Esley Dupree “Tick” Fowler and Mary Etta Cheek Fowler. She was born in the United Kingdom, but spent much of her early childhood at Edwards Air Force Base in California, where her father was stationed. She moved to South Carolina when she was 12.

She was a dental hygienist and worked for Dr. Grady Brooks in Lyman, South Carolina, for over thirty years. She was a member of Sharon Methodist Church.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Mary Compton DeYoung; two grandsons, Harrison and Benjamin DeYoung; and her sister, Mary Lou DeYoung.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Sharon Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Gryff Carosiello.

Burial will be held at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00-2:45 p.m.
