L.J. Slatton

Lewis Joshua “L.J.” Slatton, 79, passed away May 2, 2023.

A native of Blue Ridge, son of the late Lewis Young “L.Y.” and June Alice Howard Slatton, he was a former employee of Fiber Industries, retired from textiles after 30 plus years of service, and was a member and deacon of Highland Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Clemmie Mae Fowler Slatton of Greer; two sons, Scott Slatton (Angie) of Blythewood and Russell A. Slatton (Kathryn) of Pelzer; and five grandchildren, Nolan, Lucas, Caitlin, Joshua, and Abbie.

Mr. Slatton was predeceased by his first wife of 35 years, Linda Arndt Slatton.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Highland Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Mr. Todd Crane.

Visitation will be held after the service at the cemetery.

The family is at their respective homes.
