Marjorie Lucille Taylor
Marjorie Lucille Taylor, 90, of Greer (born in Miami, FL), entered heaven’s gates meeting our Heavenly Father on January 13, 2021. Marge joined the love of her life of 60 years, Herb Taylor, and daughter, Patti Smith, in heaven early Wednesday morning with what must have been a grand celebration.
Marge is survived by her son, Andrew Taylor (Tami), of DeBary, Florida; her daughter, Susan Briggs (John) of Seneca, South Carolina; and son-in-law David Smith (Pamela) of Greer. Marge was an amazingly loving “nanny” to six grandchildren, Ashli Jarrett (Gerald), Kelley Bailey (David), Brad Smith (Bryson), Andrew Taylor, Brittany Lazo (Andy) and Drake Taylor, all of whom she adored and bragged about often. Nanny also loved to brag about her great-grandchildren, showing strangers pictures as she beamed with joy.
Marge loved her time at Stevens Aviation as a long time employee. She also loved her neighborhood community, Lakewood Hills, and was a helpful and dear friend/neighbor. Marge never met a stranger and could easily strike a conversation with anyone. She loved Jesus above all else and fervently prayed for her family and friends.
Nanny supported her grands and great-grands better than one could imagine. Always staying up to date with their lives and often asking about their friends’ lives. She was a nanny to far more than just her grands/great-grands. She welcomed anyone who entered her presence with open arms, love, kindness, and always something sweet. Nanny loved all her sweet puppies, most recently-Blazer, Lil Bit and SaraBella, that kept her entertained and comforted for years.
Marge’s family is confident that she was welcomed into heaven with Jesus exclaiming, “well done my good and faithful servant.” The image of her rejoicing with those she loves and were waiting on her, helps those left here grieve a little easier. Her family will forever cherish the many stories and memories and will strive to be more like her daily. A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date. Marge loved a good party and she will be given the very best.
