Martha B. Leopard

Martha Bates Leopard, 77, went home to be with the Lord June 6, 2023.

A native of Greenville County, SC, daughter of the late Eugene and Mattie Ree Campbell Bates, she was a homemaker and worked with her husband as a house painter for 22 years.

Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Ernest Toy Leopard of the home; one son, David Leopard (Tina) of Greer, SC; one daughter, Angela Bates of Greenville, SC; five brothers, Furman Bates of Taylors, SC, Charles Bates of Greer, SC, Dan Bates of Greer, SC, Mark Bates of Marietta, SC, and Richard Bates of Taylors, SC; one granddaughter, Brandi Ramsey (Jerry); and one great-grandson, Kaleb Ramsey.

Mrs. Leopard was predeceased by one son, Douglas Eugene Leopard, and one sister, Marie Bates.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2023, at Wood Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Pete Campbell.

Visitation will be held after the service at the gravesite.
