Robert “Robie" Winchester

Robert "Robbie" Winchester, husband of Jodie Dill Winchester for 43 years, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 19, 2021. He was born in Greenville, SC to the late Floyd and Flora Burton Winchester.

Robbie graduated from Wade Hampton High School in 1974. He worked at Communication Service Center for over 27 years. Robbie was also very proud to have served his community for 19 years as a Lieutenant at Wade Hampton Fire Department, where he retired in 2001. He was a member of Hampton Heights Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, surviving are: son, Jason Robert Winchester(Amy); daughter, Stephanie Jo Winchester; grandchildren, Benjamin, Andrew, Luke, and Hannah Winchester; two sisters; one brother; three nieces; and one nephew.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends after the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association of Greenville, 123 W. Antrim Drive, Greenville, SC 29607.
