William James Reese, Jr.

William James Reese, Jr. “Jimmy,” 72, went to heaven on March 21, 2022.

Jimmy is predeceased by his father, William James Reese, and his mother, Nell Wood Reese, of Greer.

He is survived by his beloved sister, Sharon Reese Coates; his nieces, Lisa Reese Coates Lopez, Cheryl Carpenter (Mac), Julie Hammond (Houston); his great-nieces, Amie Carpenter, Ashley and Michelle Lopez, Abbie Carpenter, Caroline Phillips, Josey and Laura Hammond; and a great-nephew Coates Carpenter.

Jimmy attended Greer High School and on to Georgia Tech with a scholarship. He had a wonderful, long career as a freelance cameraman working with ESPN, CBS, Fox, and Turner Sports among others. He was an Emmy Award-recipient who devoured life and his many travels. He is so loved and will be missed greatly by his family and his friends across the country.

A celebration of life gathering is planned for May 11 at 3 p.m. at 11E Augusta Place, Greenville, SC.
