Gearline E. “Geri” Groves, 86, Greer, SC, formerly of St. Augustine, died September 26, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. She was born in St. Augustine and resided here until 1994 when she moved to Greer, SC. She was a former tour guide at Potters Wax Museum for many years.
Carolyn Boyd McKinney, 99, widow of Marshall Eugene “Red” McKinney, passed away September 30, 2017 at Brushy Creek Rehab and Healthcare.
A native of Chester County, she was a daughter of the late James Thompson Boyd and Celeste McKeown Boyd, a homemaker and member of First Presbyterian Church Greer.

He was an original member of Faith Temple Pentecostal Holiness and retired from J.P. Stevens after thirty years of service.

William Thomas “Bill” Taylor, Sr., 83, of Orangeburg, and widower of Peggy Troutt Taylor, died September 5, 2017 at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. Bill and Peggy were happily married for 59 years.
Betty Clayton Herman departed this life on September 11, 2017 to join her beloved husband of 57 years, William (Bill) Herman in heaven. Betty was born on October 15, 1933 to the late Sherman and Julia Clayton and was a lifelong resident of the Greer area. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill and sister Beatrice Hammett.
