Motorcyclist dead after Hwy. 29 collision on Saturday afternoon

Zarius Jenkins Moore, 24, of Greer, was pronounced dead shortly after a motor vehicle collision that took place on Saturday.

Around 3:17 p.m., Greer Police Department and Greenville County Coroner’s Office responded to the intersection of Wade Hampton Blvd. and Dill Ave. in Greer in reference to a vehicle collision.

SCSO Gang Unit makes arrests

The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) Gang Unit made two arrests on August 31 for various drugs, thousands of dollars in cash, and a handgun.

Investigators with the gang unit arrested Patrick Antione Smith, 36, of Spartanburg, and Tyrone Van Ellis, 57, of Spartanburg.

Hayden Knapp joined Boiling Springs Fire Department after graduating from Eastside High.
