On February 1, Thomas Early Parker, Jr., pleaded guilty to one count of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, first degree, and one count of Criminal Solicitation of a Minor.
He was sentenced to eight years in prison.
A Greenville man is dead after a work-related incident in Spartanburg.
On Wednesday, Feb. 14, Joe Conner Nuckolls, 26, of Greenville, was operating a lift machine that came in close proximity to a high voltage wire. He was electrocuted and killed on the scene.

On Friday, Feb. 9, Property Crimes investigators with the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) arrested Christopher Michael Cole, 47, of Simpsonville, for two violations of the county towing ordinance in Greer.
Spencer Aaron Foster, 45, of Suber Drive in Wellford, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 8, by Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), along with the assistance of Wellford Police Department.
Oscar Eduardo Plazas-Salazar, 55, is dead after a motor vehicle versus pedestrian collision.
The incident occurred on Thursday, Feb. 8, at 1209 Brushy Creek Road, Taylors, where Greenville County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol officials responded to the collision.
Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest early this month in connection to the attempted murder of an animal control officer.
The incident occurred at 2234 Tigerville Road, Travelers Rest, after Greenville County dispatch received a call for service in reference to a dog bite.
James Brown, 49, of Greenville, was convicted on February 2 by a Greenville County jury of five counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor in the first degree, four counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor in the third degree, and Disseminating Obscene Materials to a Minor.
