The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is searching for an unknown man who used a handgun to rob the Spinx gas station, 2102 Old Spartanburg Road, at 4:30 a.m. last Thursday.

The Greer Police Department will bring smiles to more than 300 children in need on Saturday morning at Greer’s Cannon Center with their annual Christmas toy drive. The department has been putting the toy drive on for over twenty years now, providing toys for children (ages newborn-12-years-old).
Residents near the Glassy Mountain Fire Department could soon see lower insurance rates.
The department was recently notified its Fire Protection Classification has gone from an ISO Class 5 to Class 4 effective in February of 2014.
