South Carolina’s AMBER Alert system will be tested on Friday May 24th as part of the nationwide May 25th commemoration of National Missing Children’s Day.

There have been 62 AMBER Alerts issued in South Carolina since its beginning in 2002.

A 15-year-old Greer High School student has passed away following a motorcycle crash on Wade Hampton Boulevard Sunday night.

According to authorities, Christian Scott Belue was operating a motorcycle when he was struck by a 2008 Mercedes at around 7:30 p.m.

Greenville County deputies confirmed last Wednesday that an arrest has been made in the September 2018 shooting in Taylors that claimed the life of a Greer man.

A Greenville man will spend the next 15 years behind bars after admitting he entered a Lyman-area home and stole a cell phone at gunpoint.

Allic Andro Singleton, 44, pleaded guilty last Tuesday to armed robbery. The crime occurred March 3, 2018 at a Lyman Lodge Road home.

The Tyger River Fire Department along with the American Red Cross, Spartanburg County Community Risk Reduction, and SC State Fire Marshal’s Office will be doing a smoke alarm blitz Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Lyman Mill Village.
