Last week, the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office received their fourth consecutive State Accreditation from the South Carolina Police Accreditation Coalition, which recognizes accredited law enforcement agencies within the State of South Carolina.
Matthew Neal Osborne, 53, of Taylors died last Tuesday, March 5, at the intersection of Locust Hill Road and Styles Road.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Officer and SC Highway Patrol conducted an investigation, determining Osborne suffered natural diseases that ultimately resulted in his death.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) has brought charges against 35-year-old Richard Derrick Cline, of Greer, following his role in an officer involved shooting on Feb. 18.
Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright said Cline engaged deputies in gunfire at around 3:15 a.m. on Sunnyglenn Drive.

A medical doctor from Landrum was arrested after being accused of willingly, knowingly, and unlawfully signing blank prescriptions.
Greenville County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested two brothers in the shooting death of a Taylors man who was killed at his home on Sunday, Feb. 10.
Kevin Lemanuel King, 44, of Taylors was shot to death at home at Creekside Apartments and died at the scene, according to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office.
