A Maudlin man has been arrested after fleeing a traffic stop and leading the Greer police on a chase that involved gunshots.
The Glassy Mountain Fire Department named its 2013 award recipients for service to the community at a recent banquet.
The Troy Cecil Pruitt Firefighter of the Year awards were presented to Shawn Jenkins of Travelers Rest, “Volunteer of the Year,” and Travis Peake of Greer, “Career Firefighter of the Year.”
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a Greenville man facing multiple charges relating to his role in two crimes in July of 2009. Jeffrey Jones Harrison is wanted on charges of armed robbery, kidnapping, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, burglary and grand larceny.
It was the Greer Police Department’s response to a shoplifting call last Monday that led to the arrest of a Campobello man wanted by the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office for his role in a Jan. 11 Lyman home invasion.
According to the Spartanburg County Detention website, The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office has arrested and charged a Campobello man in connection with a home invasion in Lyman last Saturday. Ronald L.
A police officer with the City of Lyman has been arrested and charged with altering and destroying evidence.
The State Law Enforcement Division arrested Michael Gerald Hames, 44, of Lyman, and charged him with misconduct in office and obstructing justice.
