Rice Bowls does not actually send food to the hungry. Instead, the organization partners with homes in nine different countries that are taking children off the street and raising them to be productive members of their own society.

A creative way to feed the hungry

Thirty-four years ago, Dr. Alastair Walker was on a mission trip to Calcutta when he began to really notice the plight of hundreds of children who were quite literally starving to death.

Determined to do something about it, Walker returned home to the United States to find out what he could do.

Ebenezer Welcome reaches out to prison

For almost two decades, Ebenezer Welcome Baptist Church has been sending people into the women’s prison in Columbia, ministering to those who are only there for a short time as they wait to be sent to another prison to fulfill sentencing.

From the numbers, it looks as if this ministry is truly impacting a number of inmates.
