The Blue Ridge Tigers trounced Carolina Academy 42-6 Friday night in a homecoming game that featured the naming of the football stadium in honor of former coach Jim Howard, the school’s winningest football coach in program history. Howard, a Whitmire native, coached the Tigers from 1981-1997.
