The Eastside baseball team clinched a region championship last week, defeating Laurens twice (6-3, 10-5) to earn a No. 1 seed in the Class AAAA playoffs.
Mavis Graves was lights out on the mound in game one, recording nine strikouts.
David Mershon led the offense with two home runs on the night.
