The Professional Bull Riders’ (PBR) Velocity Tour made its way to Mill Spring, NC, Friday and Saturday night for the PBR Ironpeddlers Chute Out.

Jacob Coman is the do-it-all special teams star for Byrnes football. Coman, whose father was born in Romania and mother born in Ukraine, is in charge of kickoffs, punting, field goals, and extra points for a Rebel team poised to make a state championship run this season. Coman was the 2022 Region 2-AAAAA Special Teams Player of the Year.

Smith is hoping to use his 6-foot-2 frame to improve his 50/50 ball catching this season.

Eastside head coach Andre Woolcock hosted his Women’s Football Clinic in the Eastside High gymnasium on June 15.

‘It went great,’ Woolcock said of the clinic. ‘We had women with little to no football knowledge and women who knew a lot. They really enjoyed the tour of our facilities and the agility circuit we put them through.’
