Riverside Warrior Nathan Delahunty is looking forward to competing again after an injury to his shoulder that kept him out of competition all season. He’ll have his chance to compete once again as a member of the University of Connecticut men’s swim team.

He liked what he saw during visits to the school.

Riverside’s Olivia Norton will continue her softball career at Charleston Southern next season, signing a national letter of intent at a ceremony last Friday.

Norton’s coach, Deb Murphy, said Charleston Southern is gaining a leader.

Demarcus Gregory and the Byrnes Rebels continued their successful season by defeating Wade Hampton 50-13 Friday.

Byrnes picks up 10th win

The Rebels torched Wade Hampton on their way to a 50-13 victory last night, securing the team’s 10th win of the season.

Byrnes will now await its playoff seeding as the Class AAAA postseason gets underway next Friday.

Riverside dropped its final game of the season to Dorman last Friday night on the road.

Warriors ready to move on

Through three seasons as Riverside’s head football coach, Phil Smith has won five games. All of them came in 2014.

The Warriors fell to Dorman last Friday night, putting the finishing touches on a frustrating 0-11 season.
