As dominant as Austin Dillon was in Saturday’s Boyd Gaming 300 NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, he had to give his utmost effort in the closing laps to hold off charging Ryan Blaney for the victory.

The two-time defending NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion, Crafton charged to the front from his 15th-place starting position and ran away from the rest of the field during a win at the Hyundai Construction Equipment 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Kevin Harvick must have been tired of finishing second, because on Sunday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion did something about it.
Once Harvick got to the front of the field from his 18th-place starting spot in the Kobalt 400, he was untouchable.
Girls basketball camp at Greer First Baptist
Greer First Baptist Church will sponsor a free Basketball Camp for girls, ages 6-10, every Monday for six weeks beginning Feb. 23. The camp will run from 6-7:30 p.m. Registration is not necessary. Call Paul Lister at 630-6625.

A third state title was not in the cards for Eastside senior wrestler David Walker, who dropped a 5-4 championship matchup to Hilton Head’s Alex Braden last Saturday at the individual state tournament.
Walker, competing in the 132-pound Class AAA division, led 4-3 after the first two periods, but could not hang on late in the match.
