Byrnes High senior quarterback Shuler Bentley was recently named Gatorade’s Player of the Year for the second consecutive year after a record-setting season in 2013.

The Lady Rebels pulled out a 69-62 win over Greer in overtime last week, improving to 3-0 on the season.
The Byrnes High girls were led by, Brianna James, who had 24 points and five rebounds on the night. Twelve of James’ points came in the fourth quarter.
The North Greenville women’s basketball has signed three recruits to its 2014 haul.
Khara Herring, Cortney Williams, and Paulette Addison signed national letters of intent to play for the Lady Crusaders next season.
North Greenville coach Jayne Arledge said the signees should help form a versatile class.
