Ross Mathis has had no trouble scoring the basketball this season.
The senior has led Blue Ridge in scoring in a number of game, and her most recent 36-point performance against Greer earned her The Greer Citizen and Clock/Clock Express’ Player of the Week award.
Mathis added nine assists and seven rebounds in the contest.
Jimmy Reese, a native of Greer and cameraman with ESPN, recently took a fall at the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, Fla. and is battling severe injuries.
Family members say Reese was setting up his equipment when the unexpected happened on New Year’s Day.
